Allah – beginning with the name of – the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
AYAT |
TRANSLATION |
1 |
الرَّحْمَٰنُ |
Allah, the Most Gracious |
|
2 |
عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ |
Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). |
|
|
|
3 |
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ |
Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. |
|
4 |
عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ |
Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. |
|
5 |
الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ |
The sun and the moon are scheduled. |
|
6 |
وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ |
And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). |
|
7 |
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ |
And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. |
|
8 |
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ |
In order that you may not corrupt the balance. |
|
9 |
وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ |
And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. |
|
10 |
وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ |
And He appointed the earth for the creatures. |
|
11 |
فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ |
In which are fruits, and covered dates. |
|
12 |
وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ |
And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. |
|
13 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
14 |
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ |
He created man from clay like that of earthenware. |
|
15 |
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ |
And created jinn from the flame of fire. |
|
16 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
17 |
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ |
Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! |
|
18 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
19 |
مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ |
He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. |
|
20 |
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ |
Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. |
|
21 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
22 |
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |
Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. |
|
23 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
24 |
وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ |
To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. |
|
25 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
26 |
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ |
For everything on the earth is extinction. |
|
27 |
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ |
And everlasting is the Entity of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. |
|
28 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
29 |
يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ |
All those who are in the heavens and the earth seek only from Him; every day is an enterprise for Him. |
|
30 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
31 |
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ |
Disposing all works quickly We tend towards your account, O you two large groups! |
|
32 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
33 |
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ |
O the groups of jinns and men, if you can cross the boundaries of the heavens and the earth, then cross them; wherever you may go, His is the kingdom! |
|
34 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
35 |
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ |
Flames of smokeless fire and black smoke without flames, will be let loose on you, so you will not be able to retaliate. |
|
36 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
37 |
فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ |
And when the heaven will split, it will appear like a rose painted red. |
|
38 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
39 |
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ |
On that day no sinner will be questioned about his sins, from men or from jinns. |
|
40 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
41 |
يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ |
The criminals will be recognised from their faces, so will be caught by their forelocks and feet, and thrown into hell. |
|
42 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
43 |
هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
This is hell, which the criminals deny. |
|
44 |
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ |
They shall keep going back and forth between it and the extremely hot boiling water. |
|
45 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
46 |
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ |
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. |
|
47 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
48 |
ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ |
Having numerous branches. |
|
49 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
50 |
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ |
In the two Gardens flow two springs. |
|
51 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
52 |
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ |
In which are fruits of all kinds, each of two varieties. |
|
53 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
54 |
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ |
Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. |
|
55 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
56 |
فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ |
Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. |
|
57 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
58 |
كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |
They are like rubies and coral-stone. |
|
59 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
60 |
هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ |
What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? |
|
61 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
62 |
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ |
And besides them, there are two more Gardens. |
|
63 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
64 |
مُدْهَامَّتَانِ |
Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. |
|
65 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
66 |
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ |
In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. |
|
67 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
68 |
فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ |
In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. |
|
69 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
70 |
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ |
In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. |
|
71 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
72 |
حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ |
They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. |
|
73 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
74 |
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ |
Untouched by any man or jinn, before them. |
|
75 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
76 |
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ |
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful decorated carpets. |
|
77 |
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? |
|
78 |
تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ |
Most Auspicious is the name of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. |
