AL FATEHA (THE OPENING)

(Revealed once at Makkah and once at Medinah - contains 7 verses)

Allah – beginning with the name of – the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

AYAT
1	بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
	Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
2	الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
	All praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Worlds (entire creation).
3	الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
	The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
4	مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
	Owner of the Day of Recompense
5	إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
	You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always).
6	اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
	Guide us on the Straight Path.
7	صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
	The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of the astray.
