AL TEEN (THE OLIVE)

Allah – beginning with the name of – the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
| AYAT | TRANSLATION |

| 1 | وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ |
| By oath of the fig and of the olive, | |
| 2 | وَطُورِ سِينِينَ |
| And by oath of Mount Sinai, | |
| 3 | وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ |
| And by oath of this secure land, | |
| 4 | لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ |
| We have indeed created man in the best shape. | |
| 5 | ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ |
| We then turned him towards all the lowest of the low states. | |
| 6 | إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ |
| Except those who accepted faith and did good deeds – for them is a never ending reward. | |
| 7 | فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ |
| So after this, what causes you to deny the judgement? | |
| 8 | أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ |
| Is not Allah the Greatest Judge upon all judges? | |
